Wedding Photography

Happy Monday, everyone! I just spent a long weekend working – Saturday I photographed a wedding (until 11:30 at night!) with my dear friend Ana of Days Photography, and then Sunday I worked at the library. Whew! Today is definitely my catch up and run errands day. Trying to get back on track!

This post deviates a little bit from my normal home decor and DIY fare, but since this is also a big part of me, I thought I’d let you in on it! During the summer (and occasionally during the rest of the year) I work a lot of weekends photographing weddings. I’ve had my own bona fide photography business, Erica Sooter Photography, for the past couple of years. I’ve done lots of wedding photography, family sessions, engagements and portrait shoots as the sole and primary photographer, but one of my favorite things to do is second shoot for other photographers. Second shooting is basically what it says – I take photos for the main photographer, but it’s a much less stressful position. I get to spend more time getting candid photo journalistic shots (my fave!) and less time posing family members. I love the artistic outlet that photography is for meΒ  and getting that perfect shot gives me such a creative high. I thought I would share some of my favorite photos of weddings that I’ve done with my lovely readers!

Feel free to click on any picture to get a closer look at my wedding photography! Note: it looks like the resolution on some of these have gotten a bit messed up (probably because I just dragged and dropped them from my photog website instead of actually loading them from my external hard drive… I’m lazy. But I promise they are all crystal clear in real life!) Enjoy πŸ™‚

Do you have a favorite shot? Have a wedding or even coming up that I can shoot for you? πŸ˜‰
