Hello friends and Happy Friday! I can’t believe it’s June already, can you?? Where has the time gone? I’m not complaining, though – I’m definitely looking forward to warmer, sunnier days π I just recently downloaded/purchased a bunch of fun new fonts and photoshop actions and I was itching to try them out, so I mad you all a pretty printable quote to print out and frame for your home!
Maya Angelou was an AMAZING woman who inspired thousands if not millions. One of my favorite quotes of her’s is “Nothing can dim the light that shines from within.” Those are such inspiring words for me – everything else in the world may be broken or going wrong, but deep inside of me I have a light which cannot be quenched, cannot be dimmed. My spirit cannot be broken if I chose to embrace the strength and positivity whichΒ is within me and that is a powerful realization! This is especially true when it comes to blogging – I could easily get depressed or give up because there are SO many other amazing blogs out there in the world, so why would anyone choose to read mine? “So-and-so are more successful than me,” “She just got a deal with a brand I love,” “She was featured in a mgazine,” etc. etc. It’s easy to be pulled down by these negative thoughts, but if you consciously decide to embrace your own personal strengths and not compare yourself to others, you’ll find a lot more joy in life. So embrace that light within and never let anyone or anything dim it! You are perfect and wonderfully made just the way you are π

I decided to whip up a mock room to show you what it could look like framed and on the wall! Pretty classy if I do say so myself π This printable quote pairs well with all sorts of colors and decor schemes. I’d love to see a picture if you decide to print it out and put it up in your home!
What’s one of your most favorite inspirational quotes?
That is so beautiful, Erica! And I love your mock up… brilliant!
Aww, thanks so much, Gwen! You are the queen of gold glittery printables so your compliment means a lot! π
Very well said! Mrs. Angelou was an incredibly wise woman and she had such a way with words. I can relate to a lot of those same comparisons you mentioned. But you are so right that we don’t have to let those doubts put out our light! Love the mock room, too!
I just love Mrs. Angelou too! Such an inspiration π Thank you for your kinds words!
Thank you SO much! I was easily able to reduce it and make appreciation favors for my fellow volunteers at our non-profit.
The glitter “translates!”?
Oh yay! So glad that you enjoyed the printable, Kiki and I hope your volunteers enjoyed them too! Thank you so much for your kind words and I hope to see you at Dwell Beautiful again soon! π
Thank you. I cannot wait to print, frame and give this to my god daughter (who by the
way was named after Maya Angelou).
I’m not able to open the link and download. When I click nothing happens. Can you please help?
