March has drawn to a close and April is upon us – where did the time go?? We’ve spent the past month busily packing and moving all our belongings to a storage unit and my husband’s parents house in anticipation of our house closing on April 3rd. It’s certainly been a whirlwind and it’s so strange to see that the home that we’ve lived in for 3 years all packed up and empty. I’m excited for the next house and the next adventure, but at the same time it’ll be very bittersweet to leave this little cottage of ours. What I’m Reading:
I’ve had to pack up basically all of my precious books for the move (which makes me so sad!), so I only left out a couple to read that I haven’t read yet. I have Dune, The Floating Book, and This Side of Paradise. Which should I read first?!
What I’m Binge-Watching:
Nate and I are still continuing our re-watch of The Office. As for shows currently on television, we are watching Timeless and Expedition Unknown – both of which are awesome! We love time-travel shows and regular world-travel shows and both of those fit the bill awesomely.
What I’m Creating:
I haven’t had a lot of time to create what with all the packing and moving (womp womp), but I did have time to make an adorable cactus pillow for our Monthly DIY Challenge and a cute little planter for our Monthly Silhouette Creator’s Challenge!
What I’m Needing:
A massage sounds nice. 😉 With all the box-moving and furniture-lifting, this girl has some sore shoulders! A little mini vaycay would also be most welcome 😉
What I’m Listening To:
I’M OBSESSED WITH HAMILTON. OMG. If you haven’t listened to the Broadway production soundtrack of Hamilton, drop everything you are doing and listen to it. right. now. You can find it on Spotify and it’s two discs long, but it is phenomenal. History meets Rap meets Broadway. Seriously AMAZING.
What I’m Dreaming About/Excited For:
Dreaming about finding our new house! We’ve been looking at houses here and there and have been to plenty of open houses. Nothing has been quite right yet, but I’m confident we will find just the place for us! I’m excited to have a new home to put together and decorate!
What I’m Worried About:
I’m trying hard to not worry about things and just have faith that everything will turn out alright! I’ve realized that worrying really won’t get you anywhere and it doesn’t help anything so I’m working hard to worry less and trust more.
What I’m Learning:
In addition to learning how to not worry, I’m also learning that the Seattle housing market is insane! haha. We are gonna need all the luck we can get to find a good house for a good price! I’m also learning that I’m stronger than I think – we’ve had a lot thrown at us the past couple months, but I think we’ve done really well with managing all the chaos!
What I’m Loving:
I’m loving that we are getting little flashes of sunshine here and there! It’s been raining like insanity for the past like 3 months solid, but we are finally getting bitty sunbreaks here and there which have been such a mood booster! I’m also loving our family and friends who have been helping us move, hosting us while we look for a house, and being there for us and praying for us – we couldn’t get by without them!
