Just a few. more. days. till. SPRING! Come to mama, sunshine, I just want to give you a big hug! I’m definitely ready for winter to be over. It seems like winter just lasts so long around here and I just long for days of sun and warmth and taking walks at twilight and hanging out in the yard. Can’t. Wait. To get my home in the spring mindset, I decided to make a fun and flirty floral spring wreath for my front door! Come on in and stay a while, my dear, dear spring 🙂
You’ll absolutely feel cheerier and ready to bask in the sunshine with this easy and beautiful spring wreath! I got all of my supplies from Michaels and had it put together in 10 minutes or so. This is seriously such a simple project but it makes a BIG impact! Your friends and family will definitely be feeling springy when they see this wreath hanging on your front door. Let’s get started, shall we? 🙂
Spring Wreath Materials
–Wire cutters (not pictured)
– Hot glue gun (not pictured)
– Ribbon (not pictured)
Step 1
Take bits of your faux moss and begin hot gluing them to your embroidery hoop. Experiment with different amounts of moss and different placements until you get it just right! I decided to really layer it on and to also go up higher on the embroidery hoop’s right side for an asymmetrical look, like so:
Step 2
Take your wire cutters and snip your faux flowers from their stems. Get as close to the flower heads as possible so they’ll sit more flush against the moss! I used different sized ranunculus blooms as they are my favorite flower! Use some more hot glue and attach them to your spring wreath in whatever layout you choose.
Step 3
Use some ribbon and make a hanging device for your spring wreath. I used some leftover ribbon from my DIY fall wreath to add a bold pop of black and white to this flowery and bright wreath. Then I hung it on the door using the same trick I did with the fall wreath – using a command hook on the backside of the door. Then you’re all finished! Stand back and admire your handiwork 🙂
I’m a big fan of the contrast between the black and white ribbon and the colorful pops from the flowers and moss – I think it gives it a more modern and updated look! This spring wreath makes me so happy whenever I walk in the door at home!
What are you looking forward to most about Spring? I can’t wait to hear more birds chirping, see more flowers blooming, and taking walks in the warm sunshine!

I have seen so many spring wreaths popping up all over blogland lately, but this is by far my favorite! I love the black and white ribbon with the happy spring colors!
Aww, thank you Megan! That is a huge compliment! I’m so so happy you like my wreath 🙂 Have a great weekend!
This is SO cute, Erica! Love the colors you chose for the flowers on it too. Works perfectly with that awesome trim color around your door. So different!
Thanks so much, Lauren! I tried to go a little less traditional for this wreath and I’m glad it worked out! 🙂
What a beautiful idea for spring, Erica! Love the colors and how bright it is.
Thank you so much, Carrie! It’s definitely more cheery to come home now with this wreath on the door! Have a fab weekend 🙂
This is so beautiful! I love the colors and the pop of the black and white bow!
Thanks so much, Emily! 🙂
This wreath is Beautiful ! Wondering how you tied the ribbon? Best I’ve seen yet!
Thank you so much, Mary! For the ribbon, I did it in 2 separate pieces – I made one piece loop around the wreath, then used another length of ribbon to tie a regular bow around the looped piece. I hope that makes sense! 🙂
How sweet! I have fallen in love with it!!! I’m an avid DIYer and always try to be busy with some new projects. Was searching for a unique idea to start. The Wreath made me stop and crazy to make it asap! In a hurry to start. Wish me good luck, Erica! 🙂
