Boho Llama and Cactus Nursery Style Board

You guys, I’m pretty convinced that my daughter will have the most complete and prettiest room in the house. While the rest of our home is in shambles, I’ve been dreaming and scheming and slowly putting together our sweet baby girl’s space. I just can’t resist buying ALL THE THINGS for her room (and honestly just baby things in general), so I’m pretty sure this girl is already set for the first part of her life haha. 🙂 For her room, I decided to go with a boho llama and cactus nursery theme. I just love the boho style vibes and thought that llamas and cacti would be fun and colorful (and not to mention adorable) for her room. Check out the post below to get the full deets and a source list in case you want some of these pieces for your own home!

This is the room that we are starting off – literally as blank of a canvas as you can get. Since it’s a 2 year old builder grade house, her room is essentially just a box with a window and a bi-fold door closet. I definitely wish there was the charm of an older house in this space (as well as hardwood floors, because carpets – yuck), but it’s also nice that it’s a fresh, neutrally painted space so it’ll be easy to customize:

I wanted baby girl’s room to be fun and colorful, so I picked a llama and cactus nursery theme. Llamas are one of my favorite animals and cacti are just so fun and hip, so I decided to put the two together to come up with a boho/southwestern/Latin American theme that was also stylish and slightly feminine. Check out the style board below! 🙂

Crib // Rocking Chair // Pouf // Dresser // Rug // Standing Lamp // Side Tables // Baskets

Garden Stool // Cactus Pillow // Square Pillow // Shelves // Pendant Light // Llama Art

I started with neutral furniture and then added in pops of pink, gold, and green to go with the boho theme and make it more feminine. The cool thing about this nursery is, if we have another baby later on and it’s a boy, we can just switch out the pops of pink for another color and we have a whole new space!

One of the things I’m most excited about this space is the cactus wallpaper, which you can find at Rocky Mountain Decals HERE. The awesome thing about this wallpaper is that it’s actually repositionable vinyl, so it’s SUPER easy to put up and move around – no glue or brushes or things required! Then if baby girl gets sick of it we can always easy peel it off to reveal the plain wall underneath with no hassle. Isn’t the watercolor print just gorgeous??

Even though I’m just now posting the nursery style board, I’ve already been working on her space and it’s getting closer to being done! Remember how I mentioned that we had that work day back in my January Bumpdate post? The wallpaper is up, crib, rocking chair, and a couple of accessories are put together, chandelier is installed, and the rug is down. Now I just need to wait for the dresser and some shelves and then I can finally organize everything and get art and stuff up on the walls! I just can’t wait 🙂
